What to do about an Overgrown Footpath

The pandemic has forced all walkers to stay closer to home than usual. Therefore, it's all the more important that local paths are kept in good order. John Harker, the society's Area Officer for Sheffield, was taking one of his regular walks along footpath 307 to his allotment recently when he noticed that the path had become quite overgrown.

He reported the matter to Sheffield Council's Public Rights of Way Unit. The email from them to the Council's Parks & Countryside Dept brought prompt action. Many thanks to all involved.
