It is with very great sadness that we have to announce that the society's Chairman, David Hurrell passed away during the night of 17th September. David had suffered a severe stroke at the beginning of the year and was recovering at Chapel Lodge Care Home in Chapeltown, Sheffield. David's son Andrew had visited him earlier in the day, his father had seemed no worse but was more restless. He went on to say: "We should regard him as no longer restricted by a worn out body, and re-united with his wife (my Mum)." Our thoughts are with Andrew at this extremely sad time.
