John Harker, the society's area officer for Sheffield contacted Sheffield Council earlier this year about a problem on Bradfield Footpath 93. John's comments were:
There is a wet patch where an old metal drainage pipe crosses the footpath at SK 2638 9303 The pipe is clearly inadequate for the job. The wet area is wide enough to be awkward for the less agile & elderly. Can a new pipe be put in & covered over.
The society is delighted to report that the council's public rights of way unit have resolved the problem. Before and after photographs are shown below:
